The Greenest You’ve Been

by admin on June 3, 2010

More people than ever are actively concerned with their impact on the environment, and that presents you, the event planner, with a unique opportunity. You can do you part to help the planet and add an extra dimension of appeal to your festival, meeting, party, or event, by creating a green focus. It’s not that hard, and it could help your event ticket sales!

Don’t Buy Garbage!

One of the easiest things anyone can do for the environment, whether they’re planning a 5000 person affair or staying home by themselves, is to reduce or eliminate dependence on disposable plastic items. Every year, about 250 billion pounds of plastic pellets are produced, and every year, we throw a vast amount of that plastic into the trash. Even recycling takes energy, but you can reduce your event’s impact. Instead of small plastic water bottles, consider large vessels. Don’t use disposible plastic utensils, cups, or plates. If you can’t afford the real thing, find alternatives: paper cups and plates instead of Styrofoam, paper cutlery instead of plastic (yes, this exists, and it’s typically stronger than the plastic cutlery).

Printing Friendly Tickets

Consider your printing needs. Many upscale printers do not use recycled paper because it decreases the quality of the product, but you may be able to find a printer that does offer a source of recycled paper. If you can’t find the right printer, perhaps you can choose a lower print quality and print your own event tickets on any paper you choose. Or, see if you can’t find a printer that uses renewable energy sources or other environmentally friendly practices.

The Source of Your Power

The same goes for your venue. Many businesses now proudly announce that they are powered, in part or in total, by alternative and sustainable energy sources: solar, wind, hydroelectric, or geothermal, depending on what part of the country you live in. Ask around! If you find the right venue, one that shares your concern for the environment, let people know.

Do all that you can to green your event and you may sell more tickets to those impressed by your commitment. You can feel good about the steps you’ve taken and you can announce to the world that you, your organization, and your event, are pro planet Earth!

All Your Events

by admin on January 12, 2010

How I love a party.

The thrill of anticipation, the dressing up, the moment of wonderment upon arrival. Stepping into a home or other venue decorated for the evening, buzzing with interesting people. Mood lighting! Musical entertainment! Appetizers on silver trays! From the moment the Invitation arrives in the mail, I know I’m in for a special treat.

You can summon that atmosphere of excitement long before your event begins with the proper pre-event publicity. Choosing the proper Invitation is an excellent way to alert your fans beforehand. Make sure the important guests mark their calenders and make their reservations. Just find a design that communicates whatever ideas you want to convey, and send out a stack of advance notices to your mailing list. It’s a wonderful way to start selling Event Tickets.

Posters and Flyers help you reach the audience you never knew about. Do a little sleuthing to determine where your potential guests may lurk, then print yourself a stack of matching publicity Posters and hang them where the crowds are. Again, picking the perfect design lets you speak directly to potential supporters, and big Posters give you the space to say everything you need to say!

While printed materials are important, you can’t forget the virtual channels! Don’t forget to announce your event on your website and your blog. Find out where your base hang out on online and post the announcement on forums and message boards. Use email Invitations and digital calenders to remind everyone to purchase tickets to your event. Get the word out early and reap the rewards in spectacular sales.

In Living Colour

by admin on January 7, 2010

We tend to take colour for granted.

A hundred years ago, colour printing was a novelty, and the Victorians kept scrapbooks simply to delight in the profusion of tones and hues made possible by various printing processes. Today, we are almost overwhelmed with colour printing, as hundreds of companies attempt to arrest our attention with the spectacle of eye-catching colour.

Colour communicates emotion, and when you choose stunning, full-colour designs, you too can catch your audience’s eye and draw them toward your cause.

  • Red indicates passion, heat, immediacy, and danger. It’s the colour most likely to cause a visceral response in your audience.
  • Orange and Yellow are active colours, which stir the mind and agitate the senses. Use these colours to grab people and shake them into motion.
  • Green is the colour to which the human eye is most sensitive. It’s often indicative of environmental or financial ideas.
  • Blue is a soothing colour, reminiscent of warm waters and cloudless skies. It is the colour of relaxation and communicates a sense of calm.
  • Purple is the colour of royalty, a noble colour. For most of history, it was a difficult, expensive colour to replicate, and thus reminds of us of luxury.

Let the full power of the rainbow guide you as you begin to choose a theme for your event. Print your Event Tickets in bold colour that expresses the true spirit of your organisation.

Designing Tickets

by admin on December 15, 2009

Fine Design

When you print your own Event Tickets online you’re not just paying for high-resolution and fast delivery. Consider the work involved in creating those gorgeous Event Kits. They don’t simply spring forth from the designer’s brow, fully formed. Each design is the work of a dedicated, professional artist marrying her training to her inspiration to produce something functional, beautiful, and unique.

Each Event Kit design begins as an idea in the imagination of the artist. Perhaps the designer has a concrete concept, such as a city, a celebration, or an event, in mind. She must research symbols and meanings associated with the topic, decide upon a style with which to recreate her themes, and draw upon her skills to incorporate these ideas and images into a fully-realized design.

With a finished design, she then must decide how to employ the image in the various elements of the Event Kits. Some templates will require the addition of space for uploadable images. Some will require more or less text added, and each ticket template must be cropped to its best advantage. Often, the designer will make numerous prototypes until the template is perfect.

So rest assured, when you print your own tickets on the Internet, plenty of work has gone into your design before you even begin, so you look brilliant in print, every time!

The Details

by admin on December 9, 2009

You notice the little things.

The thread count of the table linen. The fragrance of fresh flowers. The curl of a ribbon.

If you care about those small differences that add up to huge success, you care about the quality of your printed materials. You know that Event Tickets need not resemble overlooked scraps of paper. In fact, Event Tickets can set the stage for your entire event. Choosing a proper design, one that evokes your event theme and even matches all your publicity material, is one way to make the details work for you.

Choosing a special design can be the first step in creating a special evening. Your bold, beautiful Event Tickets become your emissaries in the world, announcing the excitement of your upcoming event in places that Posters and Flyers can’t go: the private homes of your supporters, where they will sing out to all who pass, announcing the fun to be had. An ordinary Event Ticket catches no one’s eyes, but a beautiful one begs for attention and explanation.

Let that be the first detail. Begin with a beautiful design for General Admission or Reserved Seating. From there, choose matching publicity and related materials: Raffle Tickets, Invitations, and more! Brilliant images start with brilliant choices. Choose a proper design on a proper Event Ticket and start off on the path to perfection.

Whatever the reason, whatever the season, if you’ve gone to the trouble to organise an event, arranged for all the details, and set things in motion, you should be proud! And if you’re proud of your initial steps, why wouldn’t you let that pride shine through in your communication with all your guests?
