Your School, Your School Fundraiser

Event Tickets for School Fundraisers

School fundraising events can be among the most joyful and the most chaotic of events. Organisers walk a fine line: keeping the kids entertained is paramount, but unless the adults are motivated to contribute, you will be hosting a very expensive children’s party, rather than an operation that brings in much needed cash.

First, of course, you must decide what event will draw a crowd.

  • Carnivals
  • Spaghetti dinners
  • Pancake breakfasts
  • Walk-a-thon (or jump-a-thon, or any other a-thon that excites the students
  • Cake walk
  • Book fair

And so on. There are hundreds of ways to gather together. Your job is to figure out what event will sell tickets. Then print those tickets and start selling them! Get more mileage by printing matching publicity kits, with invitations and posters, plus drink tickets, coupons, and other great products. You can even earn more money by printing raffle tickets and adding a prize draw to your event. Or, try a silent auction.

Be sure to have plenty of food and drink on hand. This is an easy way to earn more money in addition to the price of admission. Can you please both the kids and the grown-ups? Pizza and sodas are always a good idea, but, depending on the crowd you expect, perhaps you want to offer more food, and more sophisticated food? You can drum up extra interest by printing the menu on the event tickets so folks know what to look forward to.

While the kids are playing, make sure the adults understand why their money is needed. Create three-sided poster displays featuring the arts, or sports, or other aspects of your school you wish to highlight. Film your own videos, and play them around the venue. Have teachers or older students on hand to talk about the great programs you offer.

You may wish to create a fill-in graph that shows how much money you wish to earn. You can update the graph whenever you get another ten percent of your desired amount. If your school needs money, don’t be afraid to put your hand out when you sell those event tickets. Be honest about what you have, what you need, and where that money will go, and wait for the money to find you!

Music and Musical Event Tickets

Nothing uplifts the spirits quite like a song that perfect complements your mood, and if one song has the power to uplift the listener, how much more powerful is an entire concert?

Communicate the power of your music by printing your own event tickets online. There are plenty of ticket templates to choose from, so you can always find the design that best suits your genre. Classical, jazz, rock, hip hop…whatever sounds sooth your savage beast, there’s a general admission event ticket just right for you.

The perfect image is the perfect way to help generate excitement about your upcoming show. Music-themed event tickets help you sell seats, and most of them can be ordered along with matching event kits, so you can hang poster or flyers, send out invitations, and even distribute VIP passes with the same design, giving your operation a professional, cohesive look.

Special club events can make good use of music-themed event tickets as well. Print out passes in advance and start selling admission to exclusive shows, popular DJs, or crowded nights. You know you’ve made a success when you sell to capacity days before the event even happens!

It’s all about the music! So, find a musical event ticket to illustrate your love of lyric and melody and start selling your show.

Turn up the Heat

by admin on March 1, 2011

If the weather is cooling, why not plan your next event to start heating things up?

Selling Event Tickets is a cinch when you’ve planned an event that your supporters genuinely want to attend. It’s time to begin your preparations. First, of course, is the venue. Perhaps its time for a long stone hall with a fire roaring in a fireplace at one end. And what about the menu? Hot, savory soups, and juicy roasted meat tempt the palate at this time of year. Add the entertainment: a hot band to keep your guests moving.

Once you know what you mean to do, and when and where you mean to do it, you can begin generating excitement for the gathering with some advance publicity. Posters, Fliers, and Invitations all allow you to share the details with your mailing list or community. Choosing the perfect design helps sell the event, and adding your own images, such as logos or head shots, to your event collateral, helps to make it yours.

Choose a complete Event Kit and you can print Event Tickets, Raffle Tickets, and Drink Tickets that match your publicity materials. Such a lovely sense of completion ties your event together.

With the right details and the right advertisement, you can start selling Event Tickets. Create the event that people want to attend and you’ll have no difficulty selling those seats.

A Year of Fabulous Events

by admin on February 1, 2011

Ticket Printing around the Calendar

Are you worried about attendance at your regular gatherings? Flagging interest in a meeting or party that occurs 4 or 6 or 12 times a year may reflect a dreadful sameness. If your guests feel that these events all run together, getting them to come out over and over again can get difficult.

The solution? Create the distinction of distinct events by assigning each one a specific theme and then printing Event Tickets, Invitations, and other products to announce the theme.

Some themes are easy, almost too easy. Your Christmas holiday party, is a no-brainer, and you’ll find many designs and ticket templates to sell it. But what if you gather together every month? You can choose a seasonal theme, working with holiday and meteorological conditions. Or, you can get more creative. Why not throw out the seasonal themes completely and think of the year in different terms?

Colour, for example. With so many beautiful Event Kits to choose from, you can print publicity products in a different colour every month. Coordinate by decorating your venue in that month’s colour, and then asking your guests to wear that colour. Imagine how lovely your pictures will be when everyone comes in blue, or green, or white! Members will look forward to expressing themselves, and seeing how others interpret the theme.

Other options, for which you’ll find plenty of matching Event Kits, could be sports, nature, or cities. Browse the design gallery at a large online ticket printing company and you’ll find plenty of ideas.

Planning the year out in advance allows you to create a year’s worth of thematic intent!

It’s in the Details

by admin on August 3, 2010

Have you checked out Ticket River recently? Normally, I don’t like to go on about one website, but this company, based on the experiences learned from well over a decade of online ticket printing and sales, gets quite a bit right. Event Ticket printing is a whole-package operation. Certainly, anyone can purchase a general role of “Admit One” tickets, or perhaps print their own tickets at home, but a high quality printer offers those special touches that make a difference to those who notice.

Of course, any printer should offer you some basic professional touches: high-resolution images, in full colour and full bleed, with ink that doesn’t run or fade. Card stock should be thick and durable, with a professional finish in glossy or matte. Turnaround ought to be quick, with multiple delivery options, so you get your ticket when you need them. All Event Tickets, Drink Tickets, VIP Passes, and Raffle Tickets need to be individually numbered for security and accounting purposes. This all goes without saying.

Consider those extra touches, things that can help your planning, promoting, and actual event go that much more smoothly:

  • Booklet stapling helps your sales team stay organized and track ticket sales.
  • Perforated stubs keep the event organized at the gate.
  • Free designs and ticket templates are always welcome and encouraging.
  • Image upload is a brilliant way to customise your event without paying for custom work.
  • Event Kits let you look sharp; all your promotional materials and event collateral can match.

These are just a few of the special offerings that are free for every customer, every time.

Don’t forget the one thing that is all too frequently missing from your interaction with web-based businesses: the personal touch. When a company offers friendly customer service, available by email or phone, you know that they are willing to fix your problems. If you have a question, comment, or concern, there is someone waiting to hear what you have to say and make it better! Ticket River offers 100% satisfaction; if it’s not right, they’ll make it right, or refund your money. What more could you ask for?

When the details are right, the big picture comes into sharp focus!

Grassroots Organisation

by admin on June 23, 2010

Whether your group has millions of supporters around the world or consists solely of you and your amazing html skills, your events, your ticket sales, and your success can benefit from the help of local activists who share your concern. Mobilisation of a grassroots surge can help you create events of greater interest to the public, sell more event tickets, and continue doing your work around the clock, even when you can’t personally stick around to supervise.

Step 1: Find your base.

Call a meeting. Advertise your intention in every place you imagine your supporters may be waiting for you. That will include local media outlets such as television, radio, magazines, and newspapers. You will also want to hang flyers and posters in relevant shops and public places, such as the library. And of course, you need a strong web presence: a website, along with a blog. Leave messages on others’ forums, and send email blasts if you can obtain useful mailing lists. Invitations sent via snail mail can also be effective, if you have a good list of addresses.

Step 2: Hear them out.

Once you’ve gathered local activists to your meeting, state your intentions and open the floor for discussion and suggestions. This is the heart of grassroots organisation. Your goal is to raise money for and awareness of your cause. Allow interested participants to take charge. If, for instance, you wish to raise $1000 for cancer research, introduce yourself, explain why you are interested, and ask people what sort of fundraiser they would like to support.

Step 3: Activate.

Having settled upon an event, you can begin planning. Let your grassroots army do the heavy lifting, and support them as much as you can. Be sure to involve local businesses and personalities as much as possible. This would include hiring caterers from your town, using local venues, asking local bands to play or local celebrities to speak. Your grassroots movement is much more likely to identify with your efforts if they can see its local appeal.

Step 4: Sell that event.

Once planned, everyone can start selling event tickets. If you’ve made an effort to create a truly homegrown event, you’ll sell more tickets. Even those who aren’t invested in your charity will want to participate in a big community event. Print your own event tickets online to save money, then let your volunteers sell tickets to friends, family, neighbors, and strangers. Ask local businesses if they would be willing to sell tickets through their shops. You can also sell tickets online, through your own website, or through a site like TicketRiver.com.

Step 5: Don’t lose your momentum.

If you’ve carried off one big event, keep that grassroots army in motion. Let them keep planning and executing the events they want to see! If your organisation works from the ground up, you can create a vibrant movement, accomplish your goals, and bring people together for a good cause.

Your supporters are out there, waiting for you to engage them. Go find them!

Your Event, Your Ticket

by admin on May 11, 2010

While Event Tickets are often seen as the domain of the large or formal event, they are so simple and inexpensive to print that you’ll find you can add an air of excitement to any gathering simply by printing out a stack of Event Tickets. All right, perhaps issuing Event Tickets to your family before they sit down to breakfast is a bit of overkill. But that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun with Event Tickets for slightly less prosaic moments:

  • Birthday parties
  • Club meetings
  • School dances
  • Youth Sports

Wherever people gather, you can help them assemble with a proper Event Ticket.

With hundreds of ticket templates from which to choose, you’ll find an appropriate design for your event. There are designs as specific as “Spaghetti Dinner” and “Beach Party,” athletic style Event Tickets in every colour combination, and plain tickets to which you can upload your own photo, logo, or image.

Ticket templates are terribly simple to fill out. Each template field will be numbered, so you need only enter your information, perhaps comparing it to the suggested layout to ensure that you haven’t skipped any details or created confusion with unusual juxtapositions of data.

You’ll get to review your own proof instantly, online. Then pay over a secure connection, choose your preferred shipping method, and relax. Your Event Tickets will be delivered in just a few days.
