The Greenest You’ve Been

by admin on June 3, 2010

More people than ever are actively concerned with their impact on the environment, and that presents you, the event planner, with a unique opportunity. You can do you part to help the planet and add an extra dimension of appeal to your festival, meeting, party, or event, by creating a green focus. It’s not that hard, and it could help your event ticket sales!

Don’t Buy Garbage!

One of the easiest things anyone can do for the environment, whether they’re planning a 5000 person affair or staying home by themselves, is to reduce or eliminate dependence on disposable plastic items. Every year, about 250 billion pounds of plastic pellets are produced, and every year, we throw a vast amount of that plastic into the trash. Even recycling takes energy, but you can reduce your event’s impact. Instead of small plastic water bottles, consider large vessels. Don’t use disposible plastic utensils, cups, or plates. If you can’t afford the real thing, find alternatives: paper cups and plates instead of Styrofoam, paper cutlery instead of plastic (yes, this exists, and it’s typically stronger than the plastic cutlery).

Printing Friendly Tickets

Consider your printing needs. Many upscale printers do not use recycled paper because it decreases the quality of the product, but you may be able to find a printer that does offer a source of recycled paper. If you can’t find the right printer, perhaps you can choose a lower print quality and print your own event tickets on any paper you choose. Or, see if you can’t find a printer that uses renewable energy sources or other environmentally friendly practices.

The Source of Your Power

The same goes for your venue. Many businesses now proudly announce that they are powered, in part or in total, by alternative and sustainable energy sources: solar, wind, hydroelectric, or geothermal, depending on what part of the country you live in. Ask around! If you find the right venue, one that shares your concern for the environment, let people know.

Do all that you can to green your event and you may sell more tickets to those impressed by your commitment. You can feel good about the steps you’ve taken and you can announce to the world that you, your organization, and your event, are pro planet Earth!

Your Event, Your Ticket

by admin on May 11, 2010

While Event Tickets are often seen as the domain of the large or formal event, they are so simple and inexpensive to print that you’ll find you can add an air of excitement to any gathering simply by printing out a stack of Event Tickets. All right, perhaps issuing Event Tickets to your family before they sit down to breakfast is a bit of overkill. But that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun with Event Tickets for slightly less prosaic moments:

  • Birthday parties
  • Club meetings
  • School dances
  • Youth Sports

Wherever people gather, you can help them assemble with a proper Event Ticket.

With hundreds of ticket templates from which to choose, you’ll find an appropriate design for your event. There are designs as specific as “Spaghetti Dinner” and “Beach Party,” athletic style Event Tickets in every colour combination, and plain tickets to which you can upload your own photo, logo, or image.

Ticket templates are terribly simple to fill out. Each template field will be numbered, so you need only enter your information, perhaps comparing it to the suggested layout to ensure that you haven’t skipped any details or created confusion with unusual juxtapositions of data.

You’ll get to review your own proof instantly, online. Then pay over a secure connection, choose your preferred shipping method, and relax. Your Event Tickets will be delivered in just a few days.

Simply Golden

by admin on April 21, 2010

Do you remember the Roald Dahl book, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? The story of the lucky boy who won a chance at realizing his dreams spawned a sequel and two movie version, one starring Gene Wilder, and the more recent Johnny Depp film. Perhaps you remember the key image involved in his winning moment.

Of course, it was the Golden Ticket.

In the Gene Wilder film, Charlie’s big win results in a big song and dance number, “I’ve Got a Golden Ticket,” and while your ticket sales may not have bedridden senior citizens whooping it up in front of their astonished families, you can still capture that sense of impending excitement with a proper Event Ticket for your every occasion.

In the book, Willy Wonka makes an announcement regarding something the public wants, in this case, a tour of his factory. The event is presented in such a way that the media is involved and the world goes mad, with everyone desperate to obtain a ticket. Have you tried marketing your event in such a way that everyone wants to be there? Have you sent out press releases or taken out advertisements?

Don’t hold the same boring event! Look to our large online gallery for ticket ideas. Research trends to learn what people want to hear, see, and do at your event. Create something that’s new or hip. Think of a great draw. You may not have a chocolate waterfall, but you can still create a magical evening for your guests.

Make your Event Ticket the hottest ticket in town. Create a lovely Event Ticket using a simple ticket template and write your own Golden Ticket.

Life Is Just a Fantasy

by admin on February 23, 2010

Dreaming of something different? Perhaps the desert has become oppressive in its solitude, or the city disturbing in its cacophony. Why not create a magical world that allows your guests to escape the cares of the real world for a little while? Consider these escapist Event Kits for events that double as dream mini-vacations:

  • Hollywood Premier: Roll out the red carpet and welcome your guests with hordes of eager paparazzi snapping their photographs as they arrive in their most glamourous attire. Screen classic cinema on screens through the venue, and serve champagne and finger food from trays passed by well-dressed servers.
  • Viva Mexico!: Mix in a little romance and blend your gathering with a beach-themed celebration for Latin lovers. Offer margaritas and nachos to your guests. Encourage them to show up in swimwear (it helps if you can hold this event poolside) and see if you can’t get a conga line going!
  • Wine Tasting: Summon the spirit of the vine with a sophisticated wine-tasting event for oenophiles. Choose a nice selection of bottles, and pair them appropriately with cheese and fruit. If you’re uncertain how to proceed, spend some time researching on the Internet for a most delicious evening.

Let the massive online gallery at TicketRiver be your inspiration. Every Event Ticket offers a new world of possibilities for you and your guests’ entertainment.

It’s not just for charity galas!

by admin on February 2, 2010

Printing your own Event Tickets. Some people look at the fancy designs and decide that online print products are out of their budget, but these high-quality Event Tickets, Poster, and Invitations are not just for swanky charity balls, and they often cost less than items such as generic Invitations bought at the stationary story, which you much fill out by hand.

Anyone can afford beautiful Event Tickets and Invitations. Even if you’re holding a small affair, you will pay only pennies for each individual piece, but you will receive the same exceptional quality and service as large organisations receive when they order products online.

Consider printing lovely, customised invitations for:

  • Birthday Parties
  • Anniversaries
  • Barbecues
  • School Events
  • Family Reunions

Any time you want to gather a crowd is a good time to print your own Invitations and Event Tickets. Some Event Tickets without stubs can even double as Invitations. It’s fun, easy, and adds a touch of class to any get-together.

Stay Sweet

by admin on January 28, 2010

Valentine’s Day!

A time for love. A time for chocolates. And for you, the event organiser, a time to host a well-attended event, on in which your guests experience romance, anticipation, excitement, and, of course, more chocolate. Whether you’re a non-profit organisation, a music promoter, a restaurateur, or a consummate party animal, it’s not too late to start planning the perfect Valentine’s Day Celebration.

Start with a proper Event Kit. Invitations festooned with flowers, cupids, hearts, and candies, will help put your guests in an appropriately festive mood. Hang matching Posters in places lovers might frequent: candlelit bars, beachfront promenades, park shelters.

Set the mood with romantic music, ambient lighting, fresh-cut flowers, and tables for two. Be sure to leave space for a dance floor so people can get close together. Don’t neglect the power of the disco ball, the black light, and the fog machine. Whatever you do to create an atmosphere of mystical potency will leave your guests gazing lovingly into each other’s eyes.

Your Valentine’s Day party can be whatever you want it to be. Keep it classic or redefine romance. Make it your own. Print the perfect Event Tickets and move forward, bringing people together through the power of love!
