Who hosts the most fabulous events?

Is it you and your organisation? If not, it could be!

Starting soon, Ticket River and the Event Ticket Printing blog will be searching for stories just like yours from event planners all across the continent. We want to know what works, what doesn’t work, and how others can enjoy your success (or avoid your failures). Every week, we’ll work to feature one amazing party, festival, gathering, gala, fair, celebration, concert, performance: essentially, if you’re selling event tickets, we’d love to hear your story.

Interested in participating? Just drop us a note, courtesy of this blog, and tell us why your recent or upcoming event should stand as the model for the rest of the country. Whether it’s an unqualified triumph or an abject fiasco, let us know what you’ve learned, and what others can learn from your experience, and we might devote an entire post to you! We’ll also be contacting other Ticket River customers so you can learn even more about how to host an exceptional event.

Selected events will be profiled on this blog, along with links back to your own sites and any pictures you’d like to share. We’ll be interviewing customers to learn what they know and sharing that knowledge so our readers can plan for the future and fulfill their dreams by holding the top events, and featured organisations will receive some extra incentives to make their next event even better!

What’s good for you is good for us. Smooth events that run the way they’re planned keep everyone happy. Let’s share our knowledge and experience!

A League of Your Own

by admin on July 20, 2010

Whether you live in a sparsely populated area or are an aficionado of an unpopular sport, you may find yourself craving your favorite physical activity without any outlet for your physical prowess. Have you considered starting your own league? It can be as formal or informal as you like. Done properly, you can make your matches into entertaining exhibitions and perhaps even sell (or simply give away) Event Tickets.

If your nearest neighbor is twenty miles down the road, granted, it may be difficult finding enough people in your area to start a weekly game of fistball, underwater hockey, or chess boxing, but if you can field a couple teams, imagine the response from the community! Who amongst your region wouldn’t come out for such an event? If you’re the only game in town, selling Event Tickets becomes a given. Your neighbors would rather watch your roller derby than watch their grass die, and they’ll willingly pay a few dollars to do so. Even if they don’t like you, they might be willing to pay to see you fall down, or get hit.

In more populated areas, putting together your own league may be easier, even if you want to play some very silly sport, like American football. Use the Internet to reach out to like-minded parties. Gather an informal group to practice, scrimmage, and play pick-up games. Once this becomes a regular habit, you can split off to form teams. From there, the next natural step is to find a dedicated playing space and set up a regular schedule of matches. With a little success, you can find a business to sponsor your team, grown your league, attract the interest of the viewing public, and cover your expenses with Event Ticket sales.

If selling Event Tickets seems like an arduous sport to you, don’t worry. You can always pressure your spouse and offspring into attending. In fact, if you have children, you can make them go out and try to sell tickets. The main thing is that you’ve finally found someone to play with.

Quite the Event

by admin on September 23, 2009

I’m pleased to note that the new Ticket River website, a new online portal for buying Event Tickets, is close to launching.

I’ve learned to never make promises regarding new websites, but the inside buzz says that in weeks, or possibly days, there will be a new, simple, professional, and affordable way for you to sell your Event. From General Admission seating to publicity Posters and more, this site will have it all.

I envy those of you with upcoming events. If you’re getting ready to think about selling concerts, performances, dances, and more, you’ll have the opportunity to browse through a huge online gallery of unique and beautiful designs, so you can sell your event in style.
