Coffee Is for Closers

by admin on March 23, 2010

It’s not enough to plan the event of the season. The world’s greatest caterer, the most impressive venue, and the most amazing band anyone’s ever heard are all for naught if you don’t start selling Event Tickets! And even if you are selling Event Tickets, you probably want to sell more. Ideally, you’d like to sell out, so that your event achieves maximum capacity, you must turn people away at the door, and everyone plans in advance so that they don’t miss next year’s event.

How are you going to achieve this?

If you are already affiliated with a theater, of course you will sell Event Tickets through the box office. If your organisation hosts regular meetings, you will sell Event Tickets there. Most likely, you already have a website, and your webmaster can help you add an application so that interested parties can buy Event Tickets online. But don’t just wait for customers to come to you!

Reach out to the community. If you have a sales team or willing volunteers, arm them with booklets of Event Tickets and see what they can sell. Perhaps they can call supporters on your mailing list, or venture out to places where supporters may gather. They can attend fairs or sporting events (with permission from the venue), talk about your event and sell tickets that way. In some cases, you may like them to go door to door.

Be sure to spread the word so everyone knows about your event, and is aware that Event Tickets are for sale. Announce is in press releases, web forums, and with Poster, Flyers, and Invitations. Start selling those Event Tickets any way you can, then look forward to a packed house and a successful and memorable event!

All Your Events

by admin on January 12, 2010

How I love a party.

The thrill of anticipation, the dressing up, the moment of wonderment upon arrival. Stepping into a home or other venue decorated for the evening, buzzing with interesting people. Mood lighting! Musical entertainment! Appetizers on silver trays! From the moment the Invitation arrives in the mail, I know I’m in for a special treat.

You can summon that atmosphere of excitement long before your event begins with the proper pre-event publicity. Choosing the proper Invitation is an excellent way to alert your fans beforehand. Make sure the important guests mark their calenders and make their reservations. Just find a design that communicates whatever ideas you want to convey, and send out a stack of advance notices to your mailing list. It’s a wonderful way to start selling Event Tickets.

Posters and Flyers help you reach the audience you never knew about. Do a little sleuthing to determine where your potential guests may lurk, then print yourself a stack of matching publicity Posters and hang them where the crowds are. Again, picking the perfect design lets you speak directly to potential supporters, and big Posters give you the space to say everything you need to say!

While printed materials are important, you can’t forget the virtual channels! Don’t forget to announce your event on your website and your blog. Find out where your base hang out on online and post the announcement on forums and message boards. Use email Invitations and digital calenders to remind everyone to purchase tickets to your event. Get the word out early and reap the rewards in spectacular sales.

Break it Down

by admin on October 19, 2009

How do you categorise your organisation? Are you in the entertainment industry? An educational facility? A political group? A social cause? Your definition of yourself determines the types of events in which you are involved along with the image you wish to project.

All of this feeds into the type of Event Kit you might select when you are ready to print your even Event Tickets, but your event is unique, and you will have to consider which designs work best for each event.

Consider, for instance, a school.

A school carnival for the under-10 set would require a completely different set of tickets than a school dance for teenagers. And an informal dance for teenagers would beg a different set of Event Tickets than the end-of-the-year formal. And yet again, a Monte Carlo-style Casino Night held for adults only for the purpose of raising money for the school would take a completely different kind of ticket.

You want your Event Tickets to reflect something of your organisation, and something of your event. You want the level of seriousness or frivolity to reflect in your choice of design. You want to express yourself and your values to your audience by choosing just the right Event Ticket.

Let’s Get This Party Started!

by admin on October 6, 2009

So you want to print some Event Tickets?

You’ve come to the right place. In the next couple weeks, this blog will take a step-by-step approach to selecting, designing, and printing your own General Admission Tickets online. We’ll even discuss other publicity materials to go with your tickets!

Let’s start with the selection process. If you choose designs from Ticket River, it’s easy to find exactly what you want. There are hundreds of designs to choose from. Just click on Event Tickets. You can choose a category, including All Event Tickets if you want to browse everything.

With hundreds of designs to choose from, most people find that daunting. If you don’t see a category that suits your needs, you can always use the Search Box. Enter relevant terms such as “flower,” “blue,” or “mountain” to find the perfect design.

If you know that you will want matching publicity material, begin by clicking on Event Kits. Event Kits feature General Admission Tickets with matching tickets to complete your event: Drink Tickets, Raffle Tickets, Poster, Flyer, and Invitations.

Next week, we’ll talk about ticket templates. See you then!

Here it comes

by admin on September 28, 2009

When I made my last post, I never suspected that the new Ticket River site would actually launch within hours of my update, but surprises never end. I’ve just checked out some pages, and it looks like now is the time to start ordering Event Tickets and matching Event Kits for your upcoming gathering.

A lot of people have been asking about 2010 Event Kits, unique designs just right for New Year’s Eve and beyond. I’m happy to announce that at least four 2010 Event Kits in different colours should be deploying in the upcoming week. Anyone worried about planning for their First Night party need worry no more. These tickets will be available in plenty of time. With twenty-four hour turnaround, you could wait until December, but who wants to do that?

Ticket River ships anywhere across Australia, so if your organisation can use some brilliant design in advance of your upcoming event, it’s a good option that can help you look great.

Quite the Event

by admin on September 23, 2009

I’m pleased to note that the new Ticket River website, a new online portal for buying Event Tickets, is close to launching.

I’ve learned to never make promises regarding new websites, but the inside buzz says that in weeks, or possibly days, there will be a new, simple, professional, and affordable way for you to sell your Event. From General Admission seating to publicity Posters and more, this site will have it all.

I envy those of you with upcoming events. If you’re getting ready to think about selling concerts, performances, dances, and more, you’ll have the opportunity to browse through a huge online gallery of unique and beautiful designs, so you can sell your event in style.

For more information, watch this space!

So Safe

by admin on August 31, 2009

Worried about ticket fraud? Worry no more!

When you print your own Event Tickets, you are automatically ensuring added security versus buying generic tickets. To start, you are choosing a unique design, which will be printed with high-resolution digital technology on high-quality card stock. Unlike generic tickets, you cannot buy these tickets at the corner shop!

The best Event Tickets you can print on-line also come standard with other security features. Your entire run of Event Tickets will be individually, sequentially numbered, so you can track sales. They will be bar coded, for added safety. They will be perforated, with a matching design on the ticket stub, so you can continue to ensure the security of your event after your guests have walked through the door.
